BUSHRANGER AIR COMPRESSORS TOP MAJOR INDEPENDENT TESTS
Leading Australian off road accessory company Bushranger has scooped the pool in a major test of aftermarket portable air compressors.
Bushranger air compressors were judged the best in both the budget compressor and high-performance compressor categories against thirteen competitors including some which cost substantially more.
The tests were carried out by Melbourne engineer Daniel Bongard (MEng) who subjected the air compressors to the most comprehensive and controlled comparison ever undertaken in Australia.
Mr Bongard's tests recorded variables including tank pressure and temperature, compressor exhaust temperature, compressor motor temperature, voltage and current draw.
In the budget compressor category the Bushranger Power-Air Series 2 was found to be the smoothest and quickest unit tested and with a five-year warranty offers the best value for money.
The Power-Air Series 2 was the fastest of the small compressors in the 15-35psi bracket and reached a maximum pressure of 130psi.
The maximum exhaust temperature of the Power-Air Series 2 was only 72.9 degrees, as much as 50 per cent cooler than the competitions compressors.
The Bushranger Max-Air outperformed the competition in Mr Bongard's rigorous tests to be named the best high-performance compressor.
The Max-Air reached the testing point of 130psi more than five minutes ahead of the nearest competitor.
During the test the Max-Air also recorded the lowest peak motor temperature and like the Power-Air Series 2 is backed by Bushranger's five year warranty.
The lower exhaust and peak motor temperatures of the Max-Air and Power-Air Series 2 enables the Bushranger compressors to offer increased reliability and durability for customers.
According to Bushranger national sales manager Mr Evan Black the tests show that while many compressors may appear the same from the outside tests such as this show the superior quality of Bushranger's products.
"The tests have shown that you are putting yourself in jeopardy by using poor quality and inferior compressors, the cheap option may save a few dollars at the time of purchase but could cost you a lot down the track," said Mr Black.
"If youâre in the middle of no where and need to inflate a tyre or seal a bead the last thing you want to find out is that your cheap clone compressor isn't up to the task."
"A compressor failure at this point could mean the difference between getting stuck or getting home," he added.
"Better design and components, exacting manufacturing tolerances and a quality assurance system contribute to the superior performance of the Max-Air and Power-Air Series 2 and will ensure that users will never be stranded with a failed compressor," said Mr Black.
Available through all leading automotive accessory and four wheel drive equipment shops the Bushranger Max-Air and Power-Air Series 2 are covered by a full five year no fuss warranty.
Bushranger is a division of Kingsley Enterprises a leading Australian manufacturer of automotive and four wheel drive accessories for more than a quarter century.
